Making In Isolation, Together, worked remotely with a group of people over the age of 65 who met weekly over conference call to discuss the topics Confinement, Solidarity and Survival. Alongside these discussions, material packs were posted out to each individual to enable the group to learn new skills in batik. The three collaborative batik works made with with Sara Apoolingum, Ranjini Arasasingham, Angela Byer, Maggie Freake, Melvyn Freake, Shirley Ann Giles, Kiran Kansagra, Khim Lee, Odun Ogundipe, Denise Ross and Rita Vora are available to see on permanent display at Age Uk, Redbridge and the Allan Burgess Centre in Wansted.
